McAllister Tool and Machine is looking to hire additional full-time staff to our CNC Machinist/Machine Operator department.
The job responsibilities are:
- Proven experience as machinist. (CNC and Manual machines).
- Excellent coordination and mechanical skills.
- Possess a strong mindfulness to accuracy, and safety.
- Carry out instructions of a work order or a computer program to maintain proper cutting tool speed, exchange worn tools, and carry out all necessary processes to make a part.
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to solve problems as they arise.
- Capable of loading and unloading parts correctly in provided work holding fixtures/vices.
- Have a thorough understanding of the importance of a clean and organized work area.
- Must be proficient in math and possess basic computer skills.
- Ability to use and read precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements.
- Ability to read blueprints, (both paper and electronic) and understand geometrical tolerancing.
- Must have a high school diploma.
- Completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship program is preferred.
- Be able to maintain records of work performed throughout the day.
- Ability to read machine schematics and manuals.
- Perform routine machine maintenance activities and be able to make minor repairs to machines.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
- Other duties as needed.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and have successfully completed a formal education including vocational training. A minimum of 4 years of machine shop experience that include machine programming. Must possess a great eye for detail, be able to work together in a team environment and follow directions accurately. They must work swiftly with precision and be conscience of the quality of work they produce.
